Crosses

A couple of weeks ago we started our crosses. To put up around the school so other people could see our beautiful art we did in class the whole school did crosses. The colour I did my cross was purple. At first I thought it was going to be hard because the things I drew on my draft was going to hard to draw on the cross  so I drew something simple. Here's a photo.

Social Justice Week

Today was Social Justice Week. So what we did for this week was our teacher gave us a leaf  to decorate and a piece of paper about bullying. There was a link on the piece of paper that lead to a video about a young cube that was disabled and felt left out cause he is disabled. The video's message was treat people the way you treat yourself. So back to that leaf you got to write a word. (Not some random word ) Our teacher stuck all of the classes leafs together. Here is a photo:

Mini BB Fair

Today we had the Mini BB fair. The double BB stand's for books and baking. I was part of setting up the books and baking. The Principal put me on the book stand with some other kids and the others went to the Baking stand. We raised up to $700 dollars. After we packed up and went back to class we also got a leadership badge out of it.

R.E

Today we did some art where we had a word that was important to us and could draw something next to the word. The word I did was Love and I drew a dove next to it and a hand pointing at the word. The reason why we did this topic  is because the R.E lesson was about keeping a promise and what you need to keep to keep a promise. Here is a picture of my draft.

Abraham and Sarah

Today we did a slideshow about Abraham and Sarah. Half of the class did a play and half of the class did a slideshow. I did the slideshow. Setaita, Maggie and I did slide 6. The story of Abraham and Sarah is from the bible and was about the two who wanted a baby but could not have one so angels came in disguised and Abraham and Sarah gave them food to eat and then Sarah overheard that she was going to have a baby. At first she didn't believe it so then the normal people changed into angels. Then they had the baby.

Animal Classification

Today we learned about how animals are classified into groups. Animals are either vertebrates ( which means they have a spine) or invertebrates (which don't have a spine).

Invertebrates are animals like jellyfish, carbs, insects and octopus.

Vertebrates are put into five groups. They are mammals, birds, reptiles, fish and amphibians. mammals have fur or hair and give birth to live young. Birds have feathers and lay hard eggs. Reptiles are clod blooded and lay soft eggs. Amphibians breath through their skin and need to keep their skin moist. Fish breath through gills and have fins.
