Animal Classification

Today we learned about how animals are classified into groups. Animals are either vertebrates ( which means they have a spine) or invertebrates (which don't have a spine).

Invertebrates are animals like jellyfish, carbs, insects and octopus.

Vertebrates are put into five groups. They are mammals, birds, reptiles, fish and amphibians. mammals have fur or hair and give birth to live young. Birds have feathers and lay hard eggs. Reptiles are clod blooded and lay soft eggs. Amphibians breath through their skin and need to keep their skin moist. Fish breath through gills and have fins.

 5 examples of each type:
Mammals: Panther, Cow,Kangaroo, Dog and Rhino
Birds: Eagle, Peacock, Woodpecker, Ostrich and Rooster
Reptiles: Snake, Sea turtle, Lizards, Tortoise and Crocodiles

Production

This week we had Production and it lasted for 2 days and both performances were at night and one was 1:30pm. Our production was about toys and we did a performance about Barbies and Kens. My partner
was a boy and he was barbie and I was ken. During all performances we watched movies and at the end we all went on the stage and sang Zip Zap Avenue. We had great fun at the production.
