Matariki

This week we learnt about Matariki. Matariki is a bunch of stars and they're also known as the nine sisters. It used to be seven sisters but then scietensts discovered 2 other stars. All nine stars have meanings. One of the star's (Pohutukawa) meaning remembers those who have passed. Another one (Waiti) watches over our freshwater and environments and one welcomes winter sky and waters.

That's not all, there are more meanings to all nine stars.

Science Road Show

This week we went to Edendale Primary for Science Road Show. We learnt about temperature, fire and water and there were lots of projects there. One of my favorite projects were you put a coin in and it spins around and goes inside a hole or another one were there is about 100 reflections of you. My favorite part about Science Road Show was when there was fire and then the sprayed some toxic stuff and the fire exploded.
